The villa in the style of of the German renaissance had been built for the Saxon royal chamber singer Therese Malten (1853-1930) at the Opera House Semperoper of Dresden in 1893. We, a Dresden family, offer accommodation in 5 newly renovated guest rooms and a vacation apartment. The rooms are furnished differently with antique and modern furniture pieces. They have cable TV, free internet access and comfortable bathrooms with showers or bathtubs. Our guests have access to the completely equipped guest kitchen, the fire-place room, the terrace and the big garden. From the garden you have wonderful views of the river Elbe and the castle Schloss Pillnitz.
How to come to us: from the new Highway A 17 it are 7 km to our house. From the airport or train station you can reach our house with the streetcar/tram line and the bus. From our house it takes approximately 30 minutes to the center of Dresden with the streetcar. If you want to cycle along the beautiful Elbe cyclepath it are 12 km to the old city. Also Pirna (old town) and the Saxon Switzerland are only 6 km away. Make sure not to miss a tour on the Elbe with one of the historic paddle-steamers!
Free parking spots are available on the property. At request there is a garage (6 Euro/day) and a bike rental (9 Euro/day).
If desired, we also offer a breakfast for 9 Euro (children 6 Euro). This will include cereals, fresh rolls from the bakery, at times homemade jelly, cheese, ham, salami, fruit, juices and more. Of course our guests are always welcome to make their own breakfast and other meals in our guest kitchen.

There are also two restaurants, with a view of the Elbe, near to our house (120 - 200 m walking distance).
Arrangements for food delivery from restaurants can be made, or the availability of a Chef can be organized.
We would be happy to assist you in planning your stay in Dresden, and advising you about sightseeing and other things. For guided tours in Dresden and the surrounding, e. g. the Saxon Switzerland we recommend Albrecht Hoch.

Children are welcome (reduction on request). Our nine years old daughter loves to have play companions. The children can play in the huge yard, and there is also a playground near the house. In case of sickness the owner, a pediatrician, will also be able to help you.
